AEM joined a slew of other industry associations to prod Congress to act to boost the flagging energy sector.
AEM cosigned a letter from the Energy Equipment and Infrastructure Alliance to House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to urge the House to support legislation to benefit the entire energy supply chain.
The letter urges action by Congress to expedite licenses to export liquefied natural gas, relieving regulations on energy production, and eliminating roadblocks to construction of energy infrastructure.
These initiatives would help boost a flagging global energy and commodities market and spur investment in equipment.
