“We take for granted how electricity got to our farms, how phones got to our farms, how our roads got there. But somebody made those things happen,” says Bill Northey, secretary of agriculture for the state of Iowa, in the video above.
Northey was the keynote speaker at AEM’s Rural Infrastructure Summit, held in August in Ames, Iowa, as part of its broader Infrastructure Vision 2050 initiative. Infrastructure Vision 2050 is focused on crafting a vision for a long-term, national plan for U.S. infrastructure for how to move people, freight, and energy.
