I Make America joined Lomira, Wisconsin-based Kondex Corporation last week for a brat fry benefiting the technical education department at nearby Campbellsport High School.
Kondex President and CEO Jim Wessing, a member of AEM’s AG Sector Board, welcomed the I Make America truck to the event, where employees and some members of the general public had a chance to engage with this year’s election-themed video game and learn about the manufacturing issues that matter in November.
Students from Campbellsport High School were also on-hand to cook bratwursts and burgers as part of the school’s annual Project GRILL (“Growing Readiness in Learning and Leading”) submission. The program encourages engineering, manufacturing and assembly skills by giving student teams at different high schools the resources to plan, build, and market a charcoal grill using an innovative design of their own.
After enjoying brats and burgers from Hoeff’s, attendees had a chance to hear remarks from Wessing and take part in a facility tour.
The event at Kondex was the 15th I Make America event of 2016, with many more scheduled in the months to come leading up to both Manufacturing Day and the November election.
