RURAL AMERICA

A strong rural economy is not only vital to the success of farmers and ranchers, but also to the more than 700,000 jobs supported by agricultural and farming equipment manufacturers. A strong rural America means a strong equipment manufacturing industry. This is why we need our elected officials to support policies that allow farmers and ranchers to build a sustainable future of safe and abundant food, fiber, and renewable fuel for our nation.

Infrastructure

A world-class infrastructure is critical to increased investment, job creation, and overall economic growth. The current state of U.S. infrastructure – from roads and bridges to rural broadband and navigable waterways – lags behind the nation’s global competitors. This is why we need our elected officials to support policies that increase investment in our nation’s infrastructure, connect urban and rural America, ensure projects are delivered in a cost-effective and time-efficient manner, provide job training programs for the workforce, and maximize the use of smart technology.

Trade

Exporting equipment manufactured in the United States to markets around the world is crucial to creating family-sustaining jobs in America, helping communities succeed, and keeping the United States ahead of global competitors. With roughly 30 percent of equipment manufactured in the United States destined for export, free and fair trade policies and agreements are vital to our industry’s long-term prosperity. This is why we need our elected officials to support trade agreements that are fair and accountable, that create a level playing field, and that put American families and workers first.
